Pain in the mouth can hint at a number of problems, including cavities. Cavities are mostly preventable with being conscious of what you are eating, and making sure to brush your teeth after eating sugary foods and drinks like cookies and soft drinks. Even drinks that are healthy like fruit juices are loaded in sugar and can cause problems.
Hot or Cold Sensitivity
Poor brushing and flossing habits can lead to the demineralization of enamel and leave parts of the teeth usually covered by healthy enamel vulnerable to decay. The enamel is like armor it keeps our teeth healthy when it breaks down it can leave the tooth exposed to whatever your child is eating and drinking. While bad breath can be a symptom of a medical issue, it can also be caused by food being left in the mouth due to poor brushing and flossing. Bad breath after eating a particularly pungent food like garlic is perfectly normal, it’s causing to worry when it becomes a persistent problem. Ruling out dental decay is important.
